Maid Of The Mist may have some competition for the best viewing spot in Niagara Falls. Youtube user questpact recently shared a stunning video of the falls, which was shot using a GoPro camera and DJI Innovations Phantom quadcopter.
Phantom quadcopter, briefly seen at the beginning of the video, is a
small radio-controlled aircraft. DJI Innovations has been promoting the
copter's compatibility with GoPro HERO Action Cams, which may have prompted the Phantom Video Contest that this stunning video was created for.
The footage appears to capture all three factions Canadian
"Horseshoe", American and Bridal Veil Falls, which collectively comprise
Niagara falls. The American and Bridal Veil Falls towering at 176 feet, siphon through an average of 150,000 U.S. gallons per second. Canadian "Horseshoe" Falls though standing lower at 167 feet,
go through an average of 600,000 U.S. gallons per second. Lucky for the
cinematographer the copter returned to shore with no glitches.
