National Pizza Month
National Pizza Month in October gives us 31 days to explore the world of pizza and all the flavors it offers. As if we needed any excuse to celebrate and indulge in the delectable, mouthwatering, satisfying meal that is pizza. It's actually National Pasta Month and Italian-American Heritage Month as well, so feel free to spend October doing some major carb-loading.

Pizza surfaced in 1889 when it was made for Italian King Umberto I and Queen Margherita on a trip in Naples. It's been a fan-favorite in countries all over the world since then, and it's easy to see why.

HOW TO OBSERVE  National Pizza Month
Order (or make) your favorite pizza, snap a picture, and use #NationalPizzaMonth to post on social media. Can you guess what the most posted food of all time on Instagram is? That's right. Pizza. Because you can't argue with its perfection and beauty. Whether you prefer the thick slices of Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza, the thin crusted, more oil based slices of Neapolitan-style, or somewhere in between, pizza should be considered a staple of your diet (because life is short and it makes everything better.) Here are a few extra reasons pizza is the best.
๐Ÿ• It's perfect at any time of day. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner... There's a specific kind of pizza for whatever you're looking for.
๐Ÿ• Pizza leftovers are just as yummy as fresh pizza. You don't even have to warm it up to enjoy it on day two!
๐Ÿ• It does a phenomenal job of bringing people together. Thinking about having some friends over for drinks this weekend? Tell them you'll have pizza too. They won't miss it.
๐Ÿ• You can almost always get it delivered to your door within an hour, even in the middle of the night.
๐Ÿ• If you're vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free, you can still find a pizza that works for you! Pizza doesn't discriminate.
By the way, I wish I could explain to you all how difficult it's been for me to write this article. I have seen over 50 pictures of every kind of pizza imaginable and I'm starting to shake, my stomach is growling, and my mouth is watering. Please, if you're reading this, go have a big slice for me.

National Pizza Month HISTORY
National Pizza Month began in October 1984 and was created by the publisher of Pizza Today magazine and pizzeria owner, Gerry Durnell. He chose October because it's the month the first issue of his magazine debuted. He lived in a small town called Santa Claus, Indiana, and realized there was nothing to support his growing pizza business, or the pizza industry in general. Since he created a pizza-themed magazine, as well as started an official month to celebrate this wonderful food, we thank him from the bottom of our stomachs!

A Pizza Company Has Finally Gone The Distance
And Put Tiny Chairs To Match The Little Table
That Comes With Pizzas

What’s the best way to enjoy a box of pizza?
#Pizza Day from FOOD
                           Boston Pizza surely knows how.
By placing a tiny pizza table and chairs inside its pizza boxes, it adds another layer of fun to our favorite pizza. We usually find a tiny white plastic standing right at the center of the pie. It is called a pizza saver and it serves to protect the box from touching the pizza and ruining it along the way. Since the pizza saver itself looks like a miniature table, Boston Pizza decided to complete the patio ensemble by adding two mini chairs. “Patio season is a big deal for Canadians,” Boston Pizza’s senior director of marketing, Adrian Fuoco said. “This was all about creating something fun that was part of our larger patio season initiative. Ultimately, we found a way to bring together the two things we’re passionate about — patios and pizza.”
And we couldn’t agree more. The tiny pizza table and chairs on top of the pizza are indeed refreshing features that would get us more excited to open the box. The mini pizza patio was a part of the restaurant’s campaign and it has gone viral ever since. We can say that the ad campaign was a huge success and the minds behind it are incredibly genius. Plus, the tiny pizza table and chairs are food-safe and reusable. You can use them as topping ornaments for other foods or you can use it as a miniature home dรฉcor, whichever you prefer.
Boston Pizza has yet to announce how long this ad campaign would last. But people are hoping that the restaurant continues to add the cute patio set inside its pizza boxes. Should other pizza chains follow suit and ditch their boring pizza savers with a cutesy patio set? We’re not so sure about that but we’re having our fingers crossed. We definitely need these tiny pizza table and chairs.
If you wanted to recreate your own miniature scene on your pizza, then there are lots of different miniature dollhouse table and chair sets you could use here. Take below for example.

What is the History of National Pizza Month ?
๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น    ๐Ÿ•    ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
National Pizza Month was created in October 1984 by the founder of Pizza Today magazine, Gerry Durnell. Durnell, a pizzeria owner in the small town of Santa Claus, Indiana, wanted to celebrate the growing popularity of pizza in the United States and promote his new magazine at the same time.
๐Ÿ•
Initially, the event was more of a promotional campaign than a cultural celebration, but it quickly gained momentum as pizza fans and pizzerias across the nation embraced the idea. Before long, restaurants, pizza chains, and consumers were all celebrating National Pizza Month each October with special deals, new recipes, and fun events.
๐Ÿ•
Over the years, National Pizza Month has evolved into a month-long tribute to the beloved dish, which originated in Naples, Italy in the late 18th century. The month is now a time to explore new pizza flavors, learn about pizza history, and show appreciation for the talented chefs who bring their own unique takes to this classic comfort food.
๐Ÿ•
National Pizza Month has also inspired the creation of local pizza events, such as community pizza bake-offs and best pizza contests, giving even more opportunities for pizza fans to come together and share their love for this iconic dish.

Pizza Facts For National Pizza Day 9th February
๐Ÿ•
Today marks the annual National Pizza Day, a day to celebrate all things doughy, cheesy and tomatoey. Whether it’s stuffed crust, thin and crispy or a deep pan that you prefer, there’s nothing better than sinking your teeth into a slice of pizza. With that in mind, we’ve pulled together a couple of pizza facts to get you in the mood for a meat feast or two later on.
๐Ÿ•
What are the most popular toppings?
A recent survey found that pepperoni was the most popular pizza topping across the world. Whilst that’s hardly surprising, the inclusion of olives, tuna and spinach in the top ten is a little more so. But what’s most worrying is that somebody paid for that survey – surely it was common sense?
๐Ÿ•
How many pounds of pepperoni are consumed on pizzas within a year?
There is over 250,000,000 pounds worth of pepperoni consumed on pizzas throughout the year. Yes, that is a massive number and a hell of a lot of pepperoni. But who’s surprised? Pepperoni is only the best pizza topping EVER.
๐Ÿ•
Just how fast do we eat it?
We go through over 350 slices of pizza every second. 21,000 slices every minute. That works out at over 2600 large 8-slice pizzas every since minute. Wow. So much pizza puts the pizza market into it’s billions where value is concerned. It’s no wonder that there’s so many pizza shops.
๐Ÿ•
Who has the weirdest toppings?
Pizzeria’s in Japan are no strangers to offering mayonnaise topped pizzas so they probably come out on top. Whilst it’s not bad as a dip, switching out your tomato sauce for mayonnaise is a little bit too far. But saying that, supermarket desert pizza’s with custard and jam are a little on the weird side.
๐Ÿ•
How many people eat it?
Surprisingly, only 93% of people across the world eat pizza. Only 93%? Why on earth isn’t that figure at 100 is the question on our lips. They even make gluten free, dairy free, vegan options these days so we can’t see any other reason.
๐Ÿ•
Pizza is a matter of mathematics.
Seriously there’s a mathematical theorem named after your favorite food. It’s called the Pizza Theorem and basically says that no matter how you cut up a circle, there will be two pieces of the same shape in there somewhere. That’s great news considering we’ve got to slice a shared pizza.
๐Ÿ•
Where is the most expensive pizza found?
The little island of Malta of course! Whilst you can pick up a $1000 dollar pizza complete with caviar in New York City, Margo’s Pizzeria in Malta takes the slice. Their white truffle & gold leaf topping costs a whopping £1800! Maybe a little out of our budget but maybe Nicholas Cage can try it out for us because Pizza is his favorite dish.

International ☕ Coffee Day

International Coffee Day
International Coffee Day is an unofficial holiday with a dual purpose: to celebrate one of the most popular beverages in the world and to raise awareness about sustainable coffee cultivation, as well as fair trade practices in the coffee industry.
While some countries have their own holidays to celebrate this amazing beverage, this holiday is observed by most everyone on October 1st.
https://66.media.tumblr.com/4b34c48d9f3af4bc50a006d76c142161/tumblr_pymiyxycpd1v3adc7o7_r1_400.gif
A Brief History of Coffee
Coffee can be traced all the way back to the 9th century. This is when the coffee plant was discovered in Ethiopia. This plant smelled of jasmine and had white blossoms with red fruit. It wasn’t long before people began to take the leaves off of this plant and boil them to make a tasty beverage. After awhile, people began to believe this beverage had medicinal properties and the fame of coffee began to spread all throughout the Arabian Peninsula.

During the 14th century, the people of Yemen began to grow their own coffee. From there it spread to Istanbul and they developed their own method of preparing coffee. Instead of just boiling the leaves or the raw fruit, they roasted the beans and mixed them with charcoal. This gave their coffee a unique taste and aroma that allowed it to spread even further. By the 16th century, it had finally made it all of the way to Europe via trade routes. Coffee houses soon sprung up all over the continent and eventually made it all the way to the Americas by the 17th century. Coffee had become on of the most important beverages in the world.

History of International Coffee Day
Since coffee is such an important drink, it has holidays dedicated to it all over the world. However, it wasn’t until 2014 that the International Coffee Organization decided to create the first official International Coffee Day in Milan. From 2015 on, it was then celebrated on an annual basis.

Facts About Coffee
  1. Coffee is the 2nd most traded commodity in the world. Oil is the 1st.
  2. The first food to be dehydrated was coffee
  3. 40% of the world’s coffee is produced by Brazil
  4. Chemist George Constant Washington invented instant coffee
  5. Dark roast coffees has less caffeine than light roast coffees
  6. In the United States, 8 out of 10 people consume caffeine daily

Celebrating International Coffee Day
Probably the best way to enjoy International Coffee Day is by enjoying some coffee on this day. This can be a cup of black coffee, a Caramel Macchiato, a Mochaccino, a Caffe Latte, Caf Au Lait, Cappuccino, Americano or an Espresso. On this day, coffee shops all over the globe will often give their customers a free cup of coffee on this holiday. If you’re a regular coffee drinker, then this is a good day to change up your usual cup of coffee and try something different. If you’re not a coffee drinker, then this might be the day you want to try one. However, you decide to celebrate this day is as unique to you as is your favorite cup of coffee.

So grab a cup and enjoy!
